Meet our E3 Learners

Having successfully completed 70-75% of the recruitment process thus far, it is with great pleasure that we would like to introduce you all to some of the amazing learners on the e3 program. The sheer diversity of our learners has been really fantastic; we have businesswomen, grandmothers, graduates, war survivors, activists, budding technologists and poets who all share the inability to communicate confidently. This does not detract in any way detract from the intelligence and the amazing experiences these women have between them. In completing this course we look forward to seeing our learners add as much value, if not more, to British society as they did in their birth countries.

Without further ado, I would like to introduce you to Shamima Akter, Sultana Begum, Sayarun Nessa, Asma Begum and Sahra Hoosh.

Some of their favourite activities include socialising and talking with friends, helping people (and in particular, children with special needs), fashion, building relationships with neighbours and experiencing new things.

When we asked them what they were hoping to achieve through this course, we received a flurry of responses. Listed below are some of the responses we received.

  • To gain qualifications
  • Build self confidence
  • Become more independent
  • Combat social isolation
  • Find work
  • Learn something new
  • Become better able to help and support others

They said that the ability to learn anywhere they want, whenever they have time as well as the opportunity to build on their digital skills were some of the greatest benefits of the e3 project thus far.

We very much look forward to seeing them grow and develop throughout their journey with us, here at the e3 partnership.
